Our Main House, a lovely home built in 1879, provides a warm, safe, supportive environment for women first entering Casa Serena. Here women learn about themselves and their addiction, as they participate in treatment process groups, individual counseling, 12-Step meetings, parenting education, yoga and meditation. In addition, women learn the practical skills of everyday life, such as cleaning, cooking, laundry, personal care, working and/or attending school or volunteering. Each year approximately 75 women successfully complete their program residency commitment, beginning new lives of sobriety and responsibility.

The Grad House program provides long-term care, offering women an opportunity to build a stronger foundation for their new-found recovery.

Oliver House is the only facility in Santa Barbara where mothers recovering from addiction can reunite and live with their children.
Our Oliver House program allows Casa Serena to welcome recovering women and their children. Mothers are reunited with their children in a safe and nurturing environment, and women who achieve sobriety while pregnant may welcome healthy babies into a sober, supportive and functional extended family. Oliver House provides you with an opportunity to continue building a foundation of recovery from substance abuse in a residential setting that includes your young children.
